That's so funny, because Kate said something very similar on the phone yesterday- how nice to see the path ahead of you, and know where you are going to step, instead of stepping into darkness. :)

Isn't God so good!?

I was thinking that when we are going through a stretching or stepping out or trial, we are usually not able to see, or at least to be sure, of what we might learn along the way. As I read your "poem" which is what it seemed like, I thought how nice to see the steps you are climbing and know their names, faith, trust and hope. That way if you see a step with the wrong name, you can avoid it!

Here is a verse on hope that I copied out of the message bible today.

Psalms 131
God, I'm not trying to rule the roost, I don't want to be king of the mountain. I haven't meddled where I have no business or fantasized grandiose plans.

I've kept my feet on the ground, I've cultivated a quiet heart. Like a baby content in its mother's arms, my soul is a baby content.
Wait, Israel, for God. Wait with hope. Hope now; hope always!
