In other updates:
The quilt is just about done, and we will begin selling raffle tickets this week!
(Note to self: print the raffle tickets tonight).
The second group of parents is currently in Haiti. The pastor’s lawyer
there told him that humanitarian parole is STILL being considered
as an option for these children- despite what we are hearing in the US.
Pastor Rigaud and some parents went to the US embassy in
Port-au-Prince today to find out more information. This is
definitely the quickest way to get the kids home,
as the adoption is completed in the states. Once they are confirmed
orphans, Haiti signs off on their release and they go to their parents.
The lawyer also told him that Haiti’s own adoption department
(IBESR) is willing to expedite these adoptions if processed through them.
While this could knock YEARS off the usual adoption process,
(which is 2-3 years) it can also DOUBLE the cost to finalize the adoption there.
Please be praying for God’s will and timing in all of this!
Lastly, today Rich and I had the pleasure of sharing about Haiti
and the Wayom Timoun Orphanage with the K-5 chapel service at
the Vineyard Christian School! We showed videos,
told stories, and answered questions. These are the children
who raised over $500 for the orphanage 2 weeks ago!
The older grades are sending some letters via Rich as well.
And the kids are looking forward to his pics and stories
when he gets back from his trip!
Remember to keep Rich in prayer April 8-12th!!
We continue to receive checks daily in the mail from family,
and friends and strangers. We are over $1000 to the
$4000 we need to file for Wisly so they can come home together!
Thanks for partnering with us!
