Today was Mother’s Day… for me anyway! Tomorrow I will have to leave at 6:30 a.m. to go lead worship at church, and then we will go to a family gathering after that. And I couldn’t have asked for anything better than this day with my family!  After a total surprise of breakfast in bed, of poached duck eggs on gluten free toast, loving prepared by the Captain, I spent a leisurely morning reading, and then we packed a picnic and headed to Reid State Park.

On the way home, we noticed Buffy’s was still open… I hadn’t dared to hope it would be, since we stayed so long.  So we popped in to see what we might find.

We found:

an amber bowl, to go with my amber glasses I bought last Thanksgiving ($2)

another vintage apron for my collection ($2)

I hang them up in my kitchen, AND wear them. 😉

a small chair for the “vanity table” I am working on (a small antique round end table that was given to me)

($5) and will be recovered and probably painted this week!

Does it get any better than that!?!? 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!!!!
