Read it Anyway

 

I don’t always feel a surge of hope when I read scripture. But I read it anyway. 

I don’t always feel less anxious when I read scripture. But I read it anyway. 

I don’t always feel loved when I read scripture. 

But I read it anyway.

Matthew 4:4 – But he answered, “It is written, “’Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. ‘”

Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
